November 1, 2006 - Friends and loyal supporters. The 8th Grade, though in great health and high spirits, has nonetheless come to a bittersweet resolution:
We have truly enjoyed entertaining the good people of Nashville over the years. We made a lot of great friends and fans, glimpsed a faint glimmer of far-off fame, and hopefully made some good music too. Alas, all things must end and our little power trio is no exception. We've grown long in the tooth and short on the all-important hunger for stardom. Yes, that sad day has arrived and we're closing our doors and parting ways.
I would like to thank James Pecora, our drummer, and Dani Amendola, our producer (Big World Productions). Your faith in this project has been instrumental (pun intended, of course) in making this band a reality. It's been a pleasure working with you both.
Mad props to Matt Sexton, our bassist. Your enthusiasm and dedication were great motivators.
Big thanks to Helana Brigman, our booking agent, for her energy and drive, and reliably cheerful disposition.
And most of all, thank YOU for your past, present, and eternally appreciated support! Remember us well. It hasn't always been easy but it's always been a joy.
The 8th Grade loves (and bids farewell to) YOU!
